About the event

You are invited to join Building Equality and friends to participate in the Bristol Pride 2024 Parade! See below for all the details.

Registration: The Parade will start from Castle Park. We will head for the bandstand initially as a meet-up point , then we will slot ourselves into the parade where we can.

You do not need a wristband or payment to participate in the parade. Keep your eyes out for a Building Equality banners and people in hard-hats to find us. We will also likely be posting updates on Twitter: @BuildingEqLGBT

Theme: We encourage you to come dressed to show off the built-environment / engineering / construction sector - think lots of hi-vis and hard hats! Please note that all outfits must be family friendly.

Parade: The main parade will set off at 10:45am from Castle Park, snaking afterward through Broadmead, up Union Street, down Baldwin Street, across the Centre, through Anchor Square, and finally to the Lloyd's Amphitheatre . Look out for the big 'Building Equality' banners to join us! We anticipate it will take each entry approximately 60-90 minutes from leaving the start point to complete the route.

The End of the Parade: The Parade will end at Lloyds Amphitheatre. Please be aware that the main Pride Event, which takes place on The Downs, will operate a supporter wristband entry. How to buy a wristband is set out at the following link. There is no pressure to also come to the main event after the parade but a fair few of us are likely to attend later in the day. You will be responsible for finding your own way from the Lloyds Amphitheatre to The Downs (it's usually around a 45 minute walk, although buying a supporter wristband gets you free bus travel on the day).
